What kind of world do we want to live in?
Humans, nature, and technology in harmony. That's solarpunk . And it begins now.
Welcome to SolarPunk NOW – we are a movement and a social impact startup with roots in Berlin. We combine permaculture, art, education, and social innovation to actively shape a livable future.
Our mission: not just to think about change, but to live it, with creative tools, innovative methods and a global community that is passionate about a regenerative world.
Permaculture – Sowing the future, creating paradises
Permaculture is our compass for change. It means creating paradises on Earth by learning from nature rather than dominating it. Its three ethics— Earth Care , People Care , and Fair Share —center nature and community and demonstrate that sustainable living is not a sacrifice, but an improvement in quality of life. If permaculture were practiced everywhere, there would be no hunger problem, no man-made climate change, and no resource problems.
Soil health and regeneration
Earth Care
Healthy soils are the basis of all life. Therefore, we need a humus revolution: We want to regenerate depleted soil and rebuild lost humus. With our PLAYtoGROW initiative and permaculture courses, we are transforming barren wasteland and monotonous lawns into thriving, edible ecosystems such as community gardens, school gardens, and forest gardens. This transformation is regenerative because it teaches practical skills for shaping the environment in harmony with nature, thus actively contributing to soil healing and promoting biodiversity. Together, we create vibrant, fertile ecosystems that benefit the climate, people, and nature alike.
Community and knowledge sharing
People Care
In the face of global challenges, hope alone is not enough – it requires tangible skills, creative solutions, and a strong community. At the heart of our work is the belief that every person has the capacity to make a positive difference.
The first step, therefore, is the democratization of knowledge, which spreads like mycelium. Through "train the trainer" models, people become ambassadors who organically and quickly pass on regenerative practices. Our Infinity Tools—Infinity Stonepaper and Beenius—bridge the gap from knowledge to action. As a universal language for creativity, they create playful spaces for collaborative design, without any language barriers or prior knowledge.
From these connections emerges a global ecosystem of action: a global network that replaces isolation with connectedness and turns hope into action.
Common good and participation
Fair Share
For us, Fairshare means rethinking business – from the product to the business model. It all starts with tools designed for longevity rather than wear and tear, thus breaking the throwaway mentality. Building on this, our "Make Saving the Planet Your Business" model provides a concrete answer to the question of how to do good and make a living from it. It encourages people to build local, regenerative businesses by distributing the tools or offering workshops. This way, knowledge is not monopolized but becomes the foundation for a fair and independent economy that nourishes the entire system.
About Us
Agnes Friedrich and Denny Ehrlich

Agnes Friedrich is a permaculture visionary, artist, and the creative force that connects fashion, nature, and change. Her goal: sustainability should not only function, but also be beautiful, inspiring, and culturally relevant.
Denny Ehrlich is a social innovator, idea alchemist, and systems designer. He co-developed the Infinity Tools and is committed to new forms of learning and collaborative creation worldwide. With the Infinity Tools, he aims to contribute to permaculture becoming a global phenomenon, particularly in Africa, where he lived and worked for several years.
Dive deeper
Permaculture is much more than gardening – it is a design principle for holistic ways of living. As permaculture co-founder Bill Mollison said, it is about creating paradise gardens : we observe and learn from nature rather than dominating it. By working with nature, we create self-contained ecosystems that heal soils and promote biodiversity. Instead of monocultures and exploitation, it emphasizes diversity, cycles, and cooperation. Permaculture is based on the three ethics of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share. Living according to permaculture principles means a better quality of life and joy – for ourselves, for our fellow human beings, and for nature. It dispels the narrative that sustainable action means deprivation: in fact, through permaculture we gain a rich, meaningful lifestyle that harmonizes people, technology, and nature.
PLAYtoGROW is our core educational program that transforms permaculture into a global, playful learning journey. Instead of dry theory, we impart practical knowledge through missions and creative tasks using Infinity Tools. Our goal is a worldwide network of certified trainers who will share this knowledge – locally effective and globally connected. PLAYtoGROW is our answer to the education crisis: learning through doing, playing, and connecting.
The Infinity Tools are reusable learning and creative tools that connect the analog and digital worlds. They consist of two main components – Infinity Stonepaper and Beenius – and open up sustainable ways to make ideas visible and tangible. Whether in the garden, classroom, or office: Our Infinity Tools bring creativity, sustainability, and innovation into many hands. They work individually and even better in combination:
Infinity Stonepaper: Reusable limestone paper for writing, sketching, planning, and designing. It functions like a whiteboard but feels like paper: waterproof, wipeable, and always ready for your ideas. A single sheet replaces stacks of sticky notes, flip charts, or sketchpads—preventing waste without stifling your creativity.
Beenius: A modular construction kit made of bamboo and wax – for modeling, visualizing, and prototyping. Flexible and infinitely reusable, Beenius brings a natural feel to any project. From architectural models to permaculture designs to art projects, Beenius lets you literally grasp ideas and reassemble them again and again.
Solarpunk NOW builds a bridge between people, nature, and technology. Our Infinity Tools demonstrate how analog work and the digital world are merging: For example, you can scan sketches on stone paper using an app, edit them digitally, or share them with the entire community. Technology thus becomes a lever that scales creative processes without losing their humanity. At the same time, we make targeted use of artificial intelligence (AI) to intelligently and globally disseminate sustainable ideas. AI tools can make knowledge freely accessible in any language and adapt content to local contexts—a powerful tool for making solutions for people and the planet available worldwide. Whether translating learning materials, providing personalized coaching, or networking projects: technology—used correctly—multiplies our reach and connects like-minded people across continents. This creates a global network of inspiration and innovation that spreads the Solarpunk spirit.
Solarpunk is an optimistic vision of the future and a cultural movement that, as an alternative to dark cyberpunk, envisions a world in which humanity has learned to live sustainably and in harmony with nature. Its focus is on the harmonious combination of technology and lush vegetation, often inspired by Art Nouveau forms and artistic craftsmanship, evident in green cities and artfully integrated solar panels. Beyond pure aesthetics, however, solarpunk is above all a mindset that emphasizes community, social justice, and the belief that a better, greener future can not only be dreamed of, but can be actively shaped today through collective, solution-oriented action.
