Which pens,
for what.
We recommend water-based felt tip pens and thermosensitive pens. The first kind is strong and bright and readable right across the room, the second writes finely and comes off again with a touch of moisture.
Thermosensitive ink dissolves with very little water. For everything that changes daily, that is the easiest way back to an empty surface.
Van Bo Le-Mentzel drew this graphic recording with thermosensitive pens. In theory it comes off with one wipe, in practice it has been hanging unchanged for a long time. What is meant to stay, stays, until someone decides.
Writing vertically means standing up, stepping back, coming close again. If you move while thinking, you change perspective with your body, and thoughts sort themselves out differently than at the table.
Ultra-washable children's felt-tip pens are strong in colour, legible from a distance and wash off completely. Our first choice for Boards and XXL, within reach in a tin or a cup, so that every hand can pick one up straight away.
Cards, pens and colours together: the project display gains a design quality that goes beyond bullet points. If you also paint the topic, you see it from another side.
The colour runs, spreads, mixes. Wiping off becomes a moment of its own, in which something new appears before the surface is white again.
The Frixion ballpoint writes finely, for plans with many details. The felt-tip pen carries overviews and mind maps. Both glide across the smooth surface almost by themselves, which makes long writing easy.
Colours from hibiscus, marigold or safflower sit on top just like felt-tip pen and come off just as well. In the sevengardens network you learn how to make them yourself.
Children paint landscapes, invent worlds, build learning surfaces, and tomorrow everything is free again. A mistake here is a step further, which takes away the fear of the first stroke. For children who find writing hard, the pen also glides more easily across the surface.

Reset.
The colour sits on the surface, water dissolves it. How much water, how much friction and how you dry it depends on the amount and on the pen. And if something does stay on, use vinegar.
Cards into the tub, colour dissolves, white cards come out again. That applies to felt-tip pen. Thermosensitive ink stays on the card in water and only comes off over the towel.
In the water bath the colour dissolves from the card in streaks. Watching a topic dissolve is a good ending: the result is photographed, the card is free, and so is your head.
An absorbent towel, wipe both sides, done. If you clean often, you have it in your wrist after a short while, and the short break between two rounds does the group good.
Water into the bowl, colour dissolves, done. The water colours like paint water and goes down the drain, which is why ecological pens are worth it.
Dozens of cards at once: the colour is gone in seconds, the drying is the longer part. Plan time and space for that, then everything is ready again tomorrow.
Spread out towels, distribute the cards, air and sun do the rest. Overnight everything is dry.
For large Boards a spray bottle: water onto the colour, let it act briefly, wipe off. The colour sits on top, the water dissolves it, a cloth takes it away. Along the way the air in the room stays clear, because only water is involved.
For large surfaces a household sponge is enough, the rough side helps with rubbing. Stubborn remains come off with vinegar cleaner, and alcohol and other cleaners have been tested as well. The material stays intact.
The colour adheres mechanically to the smooth surface and stays on top there. Water dissolves it again, which is why ordinary children's felt-tip pens are enough, and which is why it works after many repetitions just as it did the first time.

Mounting.
On smooth surfaces stone paper holds by itself with a little water. Everywhere else, clips, magnets and rails that you have in the house anyway will help. And because everything stays removable, everything stays movable.
With Notes, Minis and Cards a little water into the corners, press on, it holds. An old dropper bottle or perfume bottle is the ideal tool for that, refillable any time.
Sea water holds too. The rule: more water, firmer hold, harder to move. If you rehang cards often, use less and keep the ideas movable.
An A4 sheet on the clipboard, held by a small clip. Slightly larger clips hold better, and then it also works for excursions and field work.
A large Board on an upturned bench, held at the top with a foldback clip. That is how a learning space is made from what is standing there.
Many holders have a metal board at the back: water on it, stone paper adheres. Alternatively clamp it at the top or fix it with magnets. The familiar stand stays, the sheet on it becomes reusable.
Pins hold as with any paper, and the material withstands the pin. The hole stays, so think about where it may sit.
The surface is smooth, so stone paper adheres to stone paper. On a large Board on the wall, Cards, Notes and further Boards hold, one surface becomes the carrier of the next.
A magnetic rail on a nail or a lamp, and the programme, plan or calendar hangs where it is needed. Rehanging takes seconds, so the rail travels with the group through the room.
Quite classic: a strip of masking tape at each corner. For all surfaces on which water alone gives too little hold.
A chalkboard is a smooth surface, and lacquered surfaces are too. What already hangs in the room becomes a working surface directly, and the room stays as it is.
One family, seven formats.
From the XXL Board for the whole wall to the Mini for your pocket, A3 and A4 in between: compatible with ring binder, printer and clipboard. Everything follows the same cut, one sheet halved gives the next size.

60 percent calcium carbonate, 40 percent HDPE, 450 g/m². The web needs no wood.

The web is formed by extrusion, without process water, without chlorine bleaching and without acids. The limestone is white by itself.

01What is Infinity Stonepaper made of? +
Of 60 percent calcium carbonate, finely ground limestone, and 40 percent HDPE, which holds the web together and keeps it bendable. No cellulose, no wood. The weight is 450 g/m².
02How does that become a sheet? +
In a dry process: the components are mixed, melted and drawn into a web, which is called extrusion. It needs no process water, no chlorine bleaching and no acids. The limestone is white by itself.
03How heavy is one sheet? +
At 450 g/m² an A4 sheet weighs around 28 grams, a Board of 72 × 51 cm around 165 grams, an XXL Board of 102 × 72 cm around 330 grams. It feels more like thin card than like paper.
04Is it really water resistant? +
Yes. It does not soften and it does not warp. That is exactly why you can wipe it with a damp cloth, and why rain does not matter when you are out and about.
05How robust is it? +
You can roll it and bend it without breaking it, and it only tears from the edge if you use force. The corners are rounded so nothing creases.
06Which pens come off again? +
Heat erasable pens such as the Frixion Clicker and the Frixion Marker, plus ordinary whiteboard markers. Permanent marker stays on, which is sometimes exactly what you want.
07What do I wipe it with? +
Water and a cloth are enough for anything fresh. If the writing has been sitting for a while, a drop of washing up liquid or some cleaning alcohol helps.
08Do shadows remain over time? +
After long standing times faint traces can remain. Cleaning alcohol removes most of them. The surface itself does not wear down.
09How does it stay on the wall? +
Dampen the back and press it on, then it clings to smooth surfaces by itself. No tape, no pinboard, no magnets.
10What does it not tolerate? +
Lasting sunlight. UV light ages the material over time. For carrying around and for days outdoors that is no problem, as permanent signage outside it is not suitable.
11How do I dispose of a worn out sheet? +
Through residual waste. Not into the paper bin: the plastic content interferes with the processing there.
12Are there documents for procurement? +
The material carries Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver. We will send you the certificate and the material data on request, for tenders and sustainability reports.
13And outdoors? +
Rolled up in your rucksack, rain does not matter. Outdoors only a permanent marker holds reliably. Only constant sun does not suit the material: UV light makes it age over time.
14How does it get onto the phone? +
Take a photo, done. Devices now read handwriting as well.
15And if I need a lot of them? +
