Add pens

Comes off again with a barely damp cloth. The most convenient pen for Infinity Stonepaper. Other pens come off too, they just need more water and a little rubbing.

We carry pens as a companion to the stone paper, rather than as a range of their own.

How it works

Open it. Write. Carry on.

The sheets sit in the folder, and opened up the page becomes your working surface. What should not stay dissolves with water, the folder closes and comes along.

How it works

How you work with it

The surface that comes along.

The folder is the table you take with you. A3, A4 and A5 lie loosely on top of each other, each sheet comes out on its own, moves to the middle and back again. For everyone who works between places.

01
At the desk

Open it up, take notes, sketch, turn it round and show the person opposite. The sheets lie in the middle, instead of everyone hiding behind screens.

02
Travelling

On the train, on the beach, in the garden: the firm cover replaces the table, and all three formats are with you. Waterproof and robust enough for backpack and rain.

03
In creative work

The white folder can be permanently decorated on the outside, while the sheets inside stay rewritable. Use waterproof or permanent pens for anything meant to stay, everything else comes off again.

04
Sheet by sheet

The A3 for the sketch, the A4 for the list, the A5 for the note to the person opposite. All three come out on their own and find their place in the folder again after the meeting.

Material and facts

The material in brief.

Stone instead of pulp, usable again and again. What the sheets are made of and what that means for handling them.

Cradle to Cradle Certified

Composition

Two thirds limestone, a by-product of quarrying, one third HDPE, partly from recovered material.

450 g/m²

Made in a dry process: no wood, no process water, no chlorine bleaching, no acids.

Waterproof and tear resistant

The surface does not absorb, the colour sits on top and can be taken off again. Grease repellent as well, and rain does not bother the sheets.

Sticks without glue

Dampen the back, press it on. It holds on glass, windows, mirrors and whiteboards, can be moved and taken off again. Pins work too.

Assembly and shipping

Cutting, rounded corners, packing and shipping are handled by the Christophorus Inklusionswerkstätten in Fürstenwalde, Germany.

When a sheet has served its time

Most of the time it has not. If you do take a sheet out of circulation, you can carry on using it: fold it, cut it, glue things onto it. The material works well for origami.

Frequently asked questions

Which formats and how many sheets are included?2 x A3, 2 x A4, 1 x A5, plus a test strip.

Two A3 sheets, two A4 sheets, one A5 sheet and a test strip. A3 for the big picture, A4 for notes, A5 for quick things in between.

Why the folder and not the A3 Set?A workspace for one person instead of surface for several.

The A3 Set consists of three sheets of the same size in a tube, meant for dividing up and laying out. The folder mixes three formats and brings the firm cover with it, so you can write without a table, on the train, in the garden, on your knees. Plus the side pocket and the test strip. If you need surface for a group, take the Set. If you are looking for a portable workspace, take the folder.

Can I put in my own sheets?Yes, it is an open system.

The sheets are held in rubber bands and can be taken out and put back in one by one. Ordinary paper fits in just as well. Many people mix: paper for what should stay, Stonepaper for everything that may go again.

Black or white, what is the difference?Only on the outside. The white one can be decorated.

The difference is on the outside. The white cover can be permanently decorated, with permanent or waterproof pens. The black one stays plain. Inside they are the same, the sheets stay rewritable.

Do the sheets wear out, do I have to buy more? No. Write on it, wipe it, start again.

Nothing is used up: write on it, wipe it clean with water, start again from the beginning. More surface is available separately if you need it, A4 and A3.

What do I write with, and how does it come off again?Thermosensitive ink or water-based felt tip.

Two groups come off again. Thermosensitive ink dissolves with very little water, a barely damp cloth is enough, and it writes fine. Water-based felt tip pens are stronger in colour and readable across the room, but they need water and some rubbing. Whiteboard markers and permanent pens stay for good. Try your own pens on the test strip in the side pocket.

How big is it opened out and folded up?A3 opened out, A4 folded up.

Opened out, you work on A3. Folded up it is A4 in size and flat, so it fits into a backpack or a laptop bag.

Is it robust enough for being out and about?Yes. Waterproof and tear resistant.

The sheets are waterproof, tear resistant and grease repellent, rain and backpack do not bother them. The cover made of firm hard board keeps splashes off, but it should not be left lying in the rain.
