Comes off again with a barely damp cloth. The most convenient pen for Infinity Stonepaper. Other pens come off too, they just need more water and a little rubbing.
We carry pens as a companion to the stone paper, rather than as a range of their own.
How it works
Write on it. Wipe it. Next round.
Write on the sheet with erasable pens. Once the session is over, water dissolves it all again, and the same surface is ready for the next group. Nothing to tear off, nothing to buy again.
For the group
The surface that everyone gathers around.
The largest format, for the moment when a group works on one thing. On the wall it replaces the flipchart, flat on the table it gathers everyone on an equal footing. One Board for the group, where the Boards are for the individual.
As soon as the Board lies in the middle of the table, nobody is standing at the front any more. Concepts and ways to a solution take shape on an equal footing, and the group faces inwards instead of forwards.
Across 102 by 72 centimetres there is room for several hands at once. The pens lie in the middle of the surface, everyone reaches for one and carries on writing where the thought belongs.
The sheet fits on any flipchart stand. The questions for the check-in are written on it once and can be wiped off again at the next session, instead of tearing off a new sheet for every round.
Pinned up, the sheet hangs next to the stand, and the Cards from the same family go on the wall below it. That way the state of one round stays visible while the next one runs alongside.

On the garden table the sheet becomes a working surface for a whole afternoon. Water does not bother it, so neither does a knocked-over glass.
What does not fit gets wiped away instead of crossed out. That lowers the barrier to writing down a half-finished thought at all, and that is exactly where the good rounds come from.
With a little water on the back, the sheet holds on glass, windows and whiteboards. Rolled up it goes anywhere, including the meadow where a garden is meant to grow.
It is delivered in the tube, and you take that same tube along to carry it to the next session.

Waterproof and tear resistant
The surface does not absorb, the colour sits on top and can be taken off again. Grease and rain do not bother the sheet.
Assembly and shipping
Cutting, rounded corners, packaging and shipping are handled by the Christophorus Inklusionswerkstätten in Fürstenwalde, Germany.
When a sheet has served its time
Most of the time it has not. If you do take a sheet out of circulation, you can carry on using it: fold it, cut it, glue things onto it. The material works well for origami.

Will it fit on my table?102 by 72 cm, about one flipchart sheet.
The sheet measures 102 by 72 centimetres, roughly the surface of a flipchart sheet. It fits on any common conference table and leaves room for five to eight people around it. For smaller tables you can cut it to size with household scissors, the edge does not fray.
Why not just use a whiteboard?Because a fixed board invites less participation.
A whiteboard hangs on the wall, and whoever stands in front of it is facilitating. The sheet lies in the middle of the table, and then everyone writes on it. It can also be rolled up, taken along, cut to size and hung on any smooth surface, whereas a whiteboard stays where it hangs.
Why the XXL and not the BOARDS set?One undivided surface instead of two movable ones.
Together the two cover the same surface. The XXL is one single large sheet for a group to gather around, with no cut edge in the middle. The BOARDS set splits that same surface into two handy halves that can lie in two places at once, one flat, one on the window, and it comes in a carrying tube. If you are bringing a group together, take the XXL. If you are working two places in parallel or are often on the move, take BOARDS.
How do I get the Board flat after unpacking?Just roll it the other way.
The sheet arrives rolled. Roll it briefly in the opposite direction and it lies flat. On the table its own weight soon settles it by itself.
How do I hang it up?Water on glass, otherwise pins or rails.
On glass, windows, mirrors and whiteboards the sheet holds by adhesion: dampen the back, press it on, done. On walls and pinboards, pins or poster rails work, the material does not tear out. There are deliberately no pre-punched holes, so the sheet can be hung landscape or portrait at any position. It also fits on a flipchart stand.
Which pen do I use?Thermosensitive ink or water-based felt tip.
Two groups come off again. Thermosensitive ink dissolves with very little water, a barely damp cloth is enough, and it writes fine. Water-based felt tip pens are stronger in colour and readable across the room, but they need water and some rubbing. Whiteboard markers and permanent pens stay for good. On a surface this size the chisel tip is worth it, because the writing needs to carry to the far end of the table.
How do I clean it, including after a coffee spill?Water, a sponge, and a little washing-up liquid in stubborn cases.
The surface does not absorb, so nothing soaks in. Water and a sponge are enough for everyday use. For stubborn residue or grease, add a drop of washing-up liquid. Then let it dry briefly and carry on writing.
Can I cut the sheet to size?Yes, with household scissors.
Tearing is hard, cutting is easy. If you need a smaller format or strips for the wall, cut the sheet to size, the edge does not fray. The material does not crack when folded.
What does it save compared with a flipchart?One sheet instead of a pad per workshop.
A flipchart pad is used up after a few sessions. The sheet stays and is empty again after every round. The material is made without wood, without process water and without chlorine bleaching, but the real saving lies in the use.
